For Corey Brice McCants, beautiful things have never simply been beautiful—they have always told a story.

A native of Butler, Georgia, Corey grew up surrounded by family, tradition, and a deep appreciation for the art of Southern living. His mother owned a flower shop on the town square, and from an early age, Corey was immersed in the world of design and entertaining. While other children were playing video games and getting ready for football practice, Corey could often be found studying the pages of Southern Living, watching his mother carefully create arrangements, or dreaming up the next reason to gather around a beautifully set table.

His love of beautiful things extended far beyond flowers. Corey was fascinated by the details that made a house feel like home—beautiful linens, heirloom china, chinoiserie, collected objects, candlelight, seasonal decorations, and a table thoughtfully set for family and friends. His grandparents’ home and garden provided an early education in Southern hospitality, where there was always something growing, something cooking, and, most importantly, someone to welcome through the door.

Those early experiences shaped the designer and retailer Corey would become.

Today, Corey Brice McCants is known throughout the Southeast for his distinctive eye for design, entertaining, and memorable celebrations. His work has taken him across the region, creating weddings, events, and beautifully appointed spaces for notable clients and at some of the Southeast’s most distinguished venues. Yet his approach has remained rooted in the same philosophy he learned as a child: the best design is personal, collected, and meant to be enjoyed.

For Corey, a well-designed home should tell the story of the people who live there. A favorite piece of porcelain, a stack of beautiful linens, a treasured family recipe, or an ornament collected over the years can hold just as much meaning as any grand design statement.

That philosophy is at the heart of The Carriage House Floral & Gift Shoppe.

Located in downtown Moultrie, The Carriage House is a reflection of Corey’s lifelong love of entertaining and collecting. The shoppe brings together many of his favorite things—from chinoiserie and fine porcelain to hand-embroidered linens, designer candles, home accessories, gifts, ribbons, wreaths, bows, and seasonal treasures. Each collection is thoughtfully chosen with the belief that the little things can make everyday life feel a bit more special.

And at The Carriage House, there is always a reason to celebrate the season.

From the vibrant colors of spring and the warmth of fall to the magic of Christmas, Corey loves transforming the shoppe throughout the year. Holiday decorating is particularly close to his heart, with ribbons, wreaths, ornaments, tabletop treasures, and festive accents designed to inspire customers to create traditions of their own. For Corey, decorating for the holidays isn’t simply about making a home beautiful—it is about creating the setting for memories that will be enjoyed year after year.

“I have always loved giving people a reason to celebrate,” Corey says. “There is something special about preparing your home for a season, setting a beautiful table, lighting a candle, hanging a wreath on the door, and knowing that people you love are about to walk through it.”

That same philosophy carries into his work with weddings and events.

“A true Southern wedding has been formulated to the perfect recipe, much like my Grandmother’s famous biscuits or my GaGa’s cherished key lime cake,” Corey says. “But I believe every great Southern wedding tells a wonderful story—a story that is as unique as the Bride and Groom.”

For Corey, the goal is never simply to create something beautiful. It is to create an experience that feels unmistakably personal—to incorporate the traditions, favorite colors, family heirlooms, meaningful details, and little touches that make a celebration uniquely theirs.

“They may not remember the linen you selected or your first dance song,” Corey says, “but they will remember how they felt.”

Nearly a decade ago, Corey fell in love with Moultrie after designing his first wedding in the community. He was drawn to its Southern traditions, strong sense of family, beautiful homes and venues, and the people who welcomed him so warmly. Today, he is grateful to call Moultrie home and to have created a business that allows him to share his creativity with the community every day.

The Carriage House is, in many ways, a collection of the things Corey has loved throughout his life—a little bit of home, a little bit of celebration, a little bit of Southern tradition, and always something beautiful to discover.

“I hope that when people walk through the doors of The Carriage House, they feel at home,” Corey says. “I hope they find something that reminds them of someone they love, inspires them to entertain, or becomes part of a tradition in their own family. Most of all, I hope they remember how we made them feel.”

Like his Grandmother’s biscuits, his GaGa’s key lime cake, and the traditions passed down through generations, Corey hopes The Carriage House will become part of the stories, celebrations, and everyday moments that make a house a home.
